Dr. Alex's life long love of horses led her to work on many horse farms in Minnesota, Oklahoma and at Canterbury Downs during her years before starting veterinary school.  This experience has been a valuable tool when working with different types of horses as a veterinarian.

A 1996 graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine,      Dr. Alex has practiced in the Cloquet / Duluth area since graduation.  In January 2001, Dr. Alex started Twin Ports Equine a veterinary practice specializing in horses.  Dr. Alex is certified in Veterinary Spinal Manipulative Therapy (similar to Animal Chiropractic) for both  horses and small animals.

Dr. Alex's family consists of her husband Dave, sons Ian and Logan, 2 dogs and 2 cats.  Her hobbies include caring for her 6 horses at home, trail riding, fishing and dog sledding with her husband.
